Job summary

Playlab seeks a full‑time, Washington‑based Learning Partner to anchor the Washington AI Innovation Ecosystem — a statewide initiative in partnership with Gonzaga University and the Gates Foundation.

You will build deep, trusted relationships with school and district leaders, recruit diverse partners, design high‑impact professional learning, and coach educators as they integrate AI into daily practice across the state.

Qualifications

• Deep statewide knowledge of WA education landscape and relationships across schools and districts.
• School leadership or teaching experience is required.
• Experience in or with K-12 schools in Washington, with focus on equity and educator empowerment.
• Skilled facilitator who leads engaging, outcomes‑driven adult learning.
• Passion for helping educators and students understand and create with AI.
• Coached educators or supported school teams implementing new instructional tools.
• Strong relationship-building across diverse communities and regions.
• Flexible, strategic, and thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven work.
• Comfort with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and aligning them with instructional values.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Playlab's on‑the‑ground lead in Washington, managing day‑to‑day relationships with partner schools, districts, Gonzaga, and the ESDs.
• Recruit a diverse cohort of ~10 partners across WA and support application, review, and selection with Gonzaga and ESDs.
• Design and deliver high‑quality professional learning—school‑based trainings, PLCs, and coaching to build AI literacy.
• Coach and co‑design with educators to create AI tools and experiences aligned to pedagogy and context.
• Support strategic AI adoption at the system level for teaching, learning, and operations.
• Plan and facilitate three in‑person convenings at Gonzaga and support AI Innovation Index assessments.
• Partner with ESDs to disseminate effective practices across districts.
• Provide field insights to improve learning resources, platform features, and partnership strategy.
