Job summary

Lallemand is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead engineering, automation, and asset reliability across four production sites. The role directs capital projects, maintenance strategies, and safety/compliance programs while driving continuous improvement and long‑term asset strategies.

The position requires deep experience in bioprocessing/biotechnology environments, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering capital investments with measurable ROI.

Qualifications

• 15 years of proven experience in maintenance and engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• Solid background in plant operations and project management.
• Knowledge of capital planning, asset reliability, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering and automation across multiple production sites and manage $20M+ annual capital projects.
• Develop a rolling 5-year capital and asset plan addressing growth, reliability, and ROI.
• Lead lifecycle management and maintenance strategies to optimize asset availability.
• Partner with Operations to improve plant processes, capacity, and performance.
• Ensure safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all projects and changes.
• Build and develop high-performing engineering teams and succession planning.
• Advance sustainability initiatives and governance of engineering standards across sites.
