Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a senior medical safety leader reporting to the Chief Quality Officer. This remote-based executive will drive strategic direction, ensure diagnostic safety, and safeguard patient outcomes across the full portfolio.

The role requires an MD/DO, 15+ years in senior healthcare leadership, and strong capabilities in QA, CAPA, and regulatory collaboration. Travel up to 25% is expected as part of leadership duties.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid medical licensure.
• Clinical pathology or laboratory medicine background preferred.
• At least 15 years in a senior leadership role in clinical diagnostics or healthcare.
• Strong leadership, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure analytical and clinical accuracy and reliability across Quest Diagnostics' portfolio of testing services.
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive medical safety program.
• Act as liaison with regulatory bodies on medical safety.
• Lead investigations into inaccuracies or quality deviations and drive CAPAs.
• Collaborate with executives, R&D, and operations to integrate medical safety into new products and services.
• Monitor KPIs for test accuracy and patient safety; apply AI and analytics to identify trends.
