Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a VIP Travel Consultant to manage complex itineraries for our most exclusive clients, including business executives and celebrities.

You’ll arrange domestic and international travel using Sabre, Apollo or Amadeus, ensuring policy compliance and security guidelines with a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years corporate travel experience including fares, ticketing, car, hotel, air and rail.
• Native GDS expertise with Sabre, Apollo or Amadeus.
• Excellent professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and integrity in handling traveler information.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (individuals and groups) in the US.
• Research options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to sell extra services.
• Book domestic and international travel across air, road, rail, and accommodations.
• Use Sabre, Apollo, or Amadeus GDS to process bookings.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide courteous service and handle special requests; prevent fraudulent bookings.
• Collaborate within the team to coach and improve service levels.

What You’ll Do.

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups) in the US
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use of one of our Global Distribution System's (GDS) Sabre, Apollo, or Amadeus
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Prevent fraudulent callers from trying to book trips afterhours by following our security protocols.
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We Are Looking For?

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Native GDS expertise (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus)
• 3 + years corporate travel experience, including fares, ticketing, car, hotel, air, and rail for domestic and international travel.
• Excellent professional communication (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$46,200.00 - $85,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
