Job summary

HireHawk Inc. seeks a video editor to own post-production for a founder-led content business. You’ll turn ~20‑minute conversations into polished short-form videos for Instagram and Facebook, preserving voice and messaging.

This full-time contractor role runs Monday to Friday on Central Time, requiring initiative and the ability to manage 4–6 clients with 3–4 videos per day, demonstrating independence over time.

Qualifications

• Strong video editing skills with portfolio of Instagram Reels, talking-head, founder, executive content.
• 3–5 years of editing experience; social content experience preferred.
• CapCut proficiency with captions, pacing, framing, B‑roll, punch‑ins, audio cleanup, and finishing.
• Excellent English comprehension and clear communication, especially in conveying nuance.

Responsibilities

• Turn conversational footage into focused short-form stories with strong hooks and clear pacing.
• Identify strongest moments using the founder’s messaging guidance and build a complete narrative.
• Preserve client voice and meaning while removing repetition and distractions.
• Add captions, framing, B‑roll, punch‑ins to improve clarity; deliver platform-ready videos.
• Keep work organized across 4–6 clients and deliver ~3–4 videos daily.
• Take initiative, flag unclear messaging early, and apply feedback to future edits.
