Job summary

Houlihan Capital, LLC seeks an Associate in Valuation and Financial Advisory to deliver high-quality financial analyses and reports for a range of valuation needs, including Fair Value Measurement, Financial Reporting, and Tax Reporting.

Work with illiquid investments across industries for private equity funds, venture capital funds, and corporate clients. The role offers remote work with base compensation in a competitive range and eligibility for a company bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• MBA preferred; CFA or similar designation beneficial.
• 1–2 years of valuation experience for financial reporting or tax.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to explain complex concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with S&P Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Bloomberg is a plus.
• Excellent prioritization and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in reviewing financial and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Populate Excel-based valuation models for financial reporting and tax.
• Review client-provided financial data and documents.
• Assist in drafting client presentations and reports.
• Produce high-quality analyses including operating models and sensitivity analyses.
• Research industry trends and company-specific issues for analyses.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients on engagements.
• Update project manager on progress and data gaps.
• Prioritize tasks across multiple engagements to meet deadlines.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and manage workloads while communicating progress.
