Job summary

Walker & Dunlop’s Apprise division seeks a Director to lead high-quality appraisal and consulting services and to grow client relationships across markets. You will manage engagements from start to finish, mentor staff, and drive client satisfaction while maintaining operational excellence.

The role requires building relationships with appraisers, analysts, and clients nationwide, with travel as needed. This position offers potential remote work on certain days and a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Real Estate/Finance/Economics related field preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial and/or multifamily real estate appraisal experience preferred.
• Active Certified General Appraiser license in good standing strongly preferred.
• MAI designation or significant progress toward obtaining the designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production and review of appraisal and consulting assignments across multiple markets.
• Manage client relationships throughout the appraisal lifecycle, including engagement, due diligence, report delivery, and revision requests.
• Coordinate the procurement of due diligence materials required to complete appraisal assignments.
• Conduct property inspections, market research, and competitive analyses.
• Train, mentor, and review the work of team members, as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to staff appraisers and research analysts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support business growth nationwide.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, including travel as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
