Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd is seeking a Virginia Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner with VA jurisdiction expertise for remote work. You will analyze and adjudicate claims, negotiate settlements, and maintain clear communication with claimants and clients while coordinating with the excess carrier as needed.

The role requires 4+ years of claims management experience, a HS diploma, and preferably a bachelor’s degree, with a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: 4+ years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: VA workers' compensation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing Virginia workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and resolution.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions promptly.
