Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks a PRN Utilization Review RN to support hospital resource utilization from a remote location within one hour of St. Louis, MO. You will review admissions for medical necessity and educate providers on appropriate care levels.

Two years UR experience and an active MO/IL RN license are required; EPIC experience preferred. Orientation for full-time PRN may be up to 4 weeks, with a schedule including two 8-hour shifts per pay period.

Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience performing care for hospitalized patients.
• 2 years of Utilization Review (UR) experience reviewing hospital admissions for medical necessity.
• MO or IL RN license active; must live within one hour of BJC Commons, St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Review diagnostic tests to determine appropriateness of level of care.
• Use InterQual Criteria to determine level of care for elective inpatient hospitalizations.
