Job summary

Actalent is seeking a remote Utilization Review Registered Nurse to perform concurrent reviews, validate medical necessity, and ensure appropriate care settings. You will partner with providers and internal teams to support decisions and discharge planning while documenting findings for quality improvement.

The role requires an active RN license (compact preferred), a BSN or ADN, and 2–4 years in acute care and utilization review, with a fully remote schedule across U.S. time zones.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact preferred.
• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• 2–4 years acute care hospital nursing experience.
• 2–4 years in related clinical or utilization review.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent utilization reviews to assess medical necessity and level of care.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to support decisions and discharge planning.
• Document findings and monitor quality and resource use.
