Job summary

Humana Inc seeks a Utilization Management Nurse to apply clinical nursing skills in coordinating, documenting, and communicating medical services and determinations. You will interpret criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best care for members while coordinating with providers and other parties.

This remote role supports eastern or central time zones; occasional travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license with no disciplinary action.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years in Medical-Surgical, Heart, Lung or Critical Care Nursing.
• Acute care/ skilled or rehabilitation clinical setting preferred.
• MS Word/Outlook/Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with providers, members and others to facilitate care.
• Interpret criteria, policies and procedures to provide appropriate treatment or services.
• Make decisions with minimal direction and follow established guidelines.
