Job summary

Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) is seeking a full-time Utilization Management Coordinator for a remote office role in Oregon.

You will provide clinical expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, review requests for medical necessity, and inform providers of review outcomes while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Requirements include a Master’s in behavioral health and licensure (LCSW/LPC), at least five years of related experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience with those who have a severe and persistent mental illness.
• Master’s degree in behavioral health required.
• Licensed clinician (LCSW or LPC) required.
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
• Willingness to work occasional rotating on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Review authorization requests to determine if needed information is provided and request more as needed.
• Review mental health and substance use information and authorize based on criteria and clinical judgment.
• Issue decision notices based on unit protocols.
• Collaborate with providers, case workers, vendors, and wraparound teams.
• Provide direction to non-clinical Care Coordination staff and offer technical assistance to providers.
