Job summary

Certified Languages International (CLI) is seeking Urdu Telephonic Interpreters to provide over-the-phone interpretation from home. The role involves high-volume, mostly medical calls across various industries.

Interpreters work as independent contractors, set their own schedules, and are paid per minute with twice-monthly direct deposit. Applicants must reside in the United States, have SSN or EIN and a photo ID, and complete CLI’s medical terminology assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of professional interpreting experience (preferably Over the Phone Interpreting).
• Must meet all of the requirements to work in the United States legally (SSN or EIN & Photo ID) and reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide Urdu telephonic interpretation services on a freelance basis.
• Work entirely over the phone using CLI's portal or landline.
• Log on/off as needed to log minutes billed to clients.
