Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Compliance (UM) Coordinator 3 to review utilization management activities and documentation for policy adherence. The role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and strong communication in a healthcare setting.

A three-day, 12-hour shift schedule is expected, with options Friday–Sunday or Sunday–Monday, EST hours. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally. The position operates within a remote capacity but adheres to EST.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of technical experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clerical support background in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Review utilization management activities and documentation to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and regulations.
• Collect and analyze data daily/weekly/monthly to assess team and individual metrics.
• Make decisions regarding own work methods with minimal direction; interpret guidelines as needed.
• Follow established guidelines and turnaround times for processing QIO fast track appeals and expedited authorizations.
