Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking an Unemployment Insurance Auditor I (FFTL) to perform on-site audits and related duties across a traveling workload. This federally funded time-limited role involves auditing employer records, applying professional standards, and supporting unemployment insurance activities in the Education & Labor Cabinet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or statistics with twelve semester hours or eighteen quarter hours.
• NONE experience is required for this FFTL position.
• Three years of professional level experience may substitute for the required education hours.

Responsibilities

• Audit employer payroll records to ensure UI tax compliance and determine liability.
• Apply auditing standards and procedures to review regulatory reporting requirements.
• Secure and/or complete quarterly wage and tax reports and related forms.
• Determine coverage of claimants and investigate employer/employee relationships.
• Prepare daily/ monthly reports, travel vouchers, and timesheets by due dates.
