Job summary

Axiom is seeking an experienced Treasury Clearing Attorney to support U.S. Treasury clearing initiatives. You will review, draft, and negotiate customer clearing agreements for sponsored repurchase transactions, ensuring alignment with SEC mandates and internal controls.

You will work with legal, business, and risk teams to remediate documentation and prepare for clearing readiness, including CCP frameworks, margin, collateral, and netting considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clearing, repo, or related markets documentation.
• Strong understanding of repurchase transactions and Treasury clearing.
• Knowledge of margins, collateral, and netting mechanics; familiarity with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate customer clearing agreements for sponsored repurchase transactions.
• Support preparation for compliance with the SEC's U.S. Treasury clearing mandate.
• Collaborate with legal, business, credit risk, and other teams to align agreements with controls and procedures.
• Update templates and tailor industry forms for client negotiations.
• Review and analyze relevant regulations and netting opinions.
• Support Treasury and repo documentation within CCP frameworks.
• Help align margin, collateral, netting, and default provisions with operational requirements.
