Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Transportation Operations and Safety Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary transportation research programs. This remote opportunity requires extensive project management and a strong background in transportation safety and operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in safety-related transportation projects and must be able to maintain strong client relationships. Competitive salary ranges from $120,000 to $155,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience managing federal, state, and local transportation projects.
• Prior experience with State and local DOTs and FHWA.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Program Manager for a Federal safety research contract.
• Manage and oversee transportation safety, operations, and data research projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
