Job summary

Genesis Exhibits, a world-class trade show exhibit design and manufacturing group, is seeking a Trade Show Exhibit Designer to translate client objectives into compelling environments for national and international clients.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management and Production to create 3D renderings, layout plans, and construction drawings across inline and island booths, leveraging modular systems like beMatrix.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in exhibit design or related field.
• Degree in Industrial/Environmental Design, Architecture, Interior Design or similar (or equivalent).
• Strong portfolio with trade show exhibits and branded installations.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, 3ds Max, Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign and AutoCAD for technical drawings.
• Experience with modular exhibit systems (e.g., beMatrix) and understanding of construction methods.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize innovative exhibit designs aligned with client goals, brand identity, and show objectives.
• Produce high-quality 3D renderings, layout plans, and construction drawings.
• Collaborate with Account Team and Project Management during pitches and proposals.
• Design within budget and understand cost drivers (materials, labor, logistics).
• Integrate technology solutions (touchscreens, LED, AR/VR, remote demos).
• Apply modular design principles across exhibits and ensure installation readiness.
• Support value engineering and redesign efforts as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends and evolving design technologies.
