Job summary

North Cloud is hiring for a forecasting-focused role in the Services team. You will own models behind the internal forecasting service, shaping how models are trained, evaluated, and served. You’ll work closely with data scientists and other teams to ensure forecasts guide decisions.

The role offers a hybrid setup with a NYC base or remote US option and reports through our engineering ladder. Experience with time series modeling and production ML is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software or ML engineering experience.
• Experience with time series forecasting in production.
• Experience with time-aware validation and backtesting.
• Experience monitoring production models and drift.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; large datasets.
• Ability to explain model behavior to non-engineers.
• Familiar with AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve time series models for spend, budgets, and commitments.
• Partner with Services to deploy models as a reliable shared service.
• Design forecasting service architecture and model training/evaluation.
• Improve backtesting and forecast accuracy monitoring over time.
• Build anomaly detection and alerting for forecast issues.
• Quantify forecast uncertainty for downstream features.
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate results for business teams.
• Coordinate with Commitments, Visibility, and Data teams on forecast needs.
