Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber seeks a highly technical Cyber Threat Researcher (Level II) for the TIDE squad. You will own proactive threat hunts, architect behavioral detection rules, and translate intelligence into functional detections across multi-tenant environments.

Role requires engagement with client executives to explain metrics and fortify security postures. Remote-first in the United States with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of verified professional history in cybersecurity with threat hunting/detection engineering focus.
• Experience building, testing, and debugging alert logic in enterprise SIEM/EDR platforms.
• Strong backend automation skills using Python or PowerShell.
• Deep knowledge of adversarial tactics and techniques via MITRE ATT&CK matrix.
• Experience presenting threat data and detection metrics to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Detection Architecture Engineering: design and deploy behavior-based detection rules.
• Hypothesis-Driven Threat Hunting across complex logs and data streams.
• Rule Tuning & Noise Reduction to minimize false positives while preserving coverage.
• Adversarial TTP Tracking against MITRE ATT&CK to map detections to tactics.
• Cross-Functional Incident Response with SOC and IR teams to contain incidents.
• Technical Mentorship & Advisory to junior threat hunters and executives.
