Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to sustain vacuum thin film deposition and analyze wafer results to improve yield. You will work with advanced groups to transfer deposition processes into production and qualify new tools.

BS or MS in Engineering/Physics/Materials Science plus 2 years of related experience is preferred; magnetic background and strong data analysis skills are a plus. Requires on-site work in California.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field.
• 2 yrs of thin film deposition work experience preferred.
• Magnetic background and strong data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sustain vacuum thin film deposition and characterize properties.
• Analyze wafer processing and probing results to improve yield.
• Coordinate wafer-level failure analysis and tool qualification.
