Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking Texas-certified teachers to join its Live Learning Platform as remote tutors. You will engage K-12 students through one-on-one online sessions, leveraging TEKS-aligned teaching methods and adaptive instruction to meet individual goals. You control your schedule, earn competitive rates, and invoice for sessions.

Earn up to $40/hour, with payments issued up to twice weekly. The platform supports remote tutoring with AI-assisted tools to enhance instruction and save prep

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active Texas teaching certificate (TEA)
• Deep knowledge of your certified subject area(s) and ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs
• Experience in a Texas classroom setting with TEKS standards and one-on-one instruction
• Ability to diagnose gaps, adjust pacing, and explain concepts through multiple methods
• Strong communication skills and engaging teaching style

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 online tutoring with students
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available
• Invoicing for tutoring sessions and contributing to student progress
