Varsity Tutors is seeking Texas-certified teachers for a flexible, remote tutoring role. You’ll work with students nationwide, setting your own schedule and earning up to $40 per hour. Payments occur twice weekly, with seamless invoicing and platform support.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate (Required): Must hold a current, active teaching certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
• Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge in your certified subject area(s), with ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs.
• Classroom Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience in a Texas classroom setting, with understanding of TEKS standards.
• Conceptual Teaching & Adaptive Instruction: Skilled at diagnosing student gaps and adjusting pacing and approach.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students struggle with and adapt instruction to learning styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
