Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer with deep Terraform expertise to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure-as-code foundations powering our cloud and hybrid environments. This is a 100% remote role within the United States.

You will create reusable Terraform modules, enforce policy-as-code, manage state at scale, and collaborate across security, networking, and platform teams to standardize delivery and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng, or related field.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or DevOps with Terraform focus.
• Production Terraform across at least one major cloud provider.
• Experience creating reusable Terraform modules with clear APIs.
• Experience with Terraform state management and backends.
• Scripting skills: Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD for infrastructure code.
• Understanding of cloud networking, identity, security.
• Git-based workflows incl. code review & release management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular Terraform code across accounts.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules with clear interfaces.
• Implement Terraform automation pipelines with CI/CD and gating.
• Enforce policy-as-code using Sentinel/OPA/Checkov.
• Manage Terraform state with backend strategies and disaster recovery.
• Drive multi-account, multi-region, and multi-cloud provisioning with tagging.
• Perform infrastructure testing with terraform-compliance and Terratest.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams to embed guardrails.
• Standardize secrets management and IAM in Terraform.
• Lead migrations to Terraform footprints with minimal disruption.
• Drive cost optimization and tagging hygiene.
• Mentor teams on Terraform best practices.
• Maintain runbooks and architecture diagrams.
• Stay current with Terraform and IaC ecosystem developments.
