Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Permitting Specialist to research, prepare, and obtain municipal and agency permits for cable and fiber networks. You’ll build relationships with local governments, prepare application packages, and ensure permitting compliance throughout approval and construction phases.

The role supports ongoing training, benefits, and career growth, with the option of remote work and an expectation of 15% travel to project sites across North America.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of permitting experience within Telecommunications, Outside Plant or Field Operations.
• Experience submitting permit packages for telecom, power, gas, construction or other utilities.
• Understanding of outside plant design principles, work order procedures, and telecom standards.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations; familiarity with DOT/State/County rules preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel; familiarity with scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with local municipalities and governing bodies to obtain permits and zoning approvals.
• Resolve permitting issues to keep project deliverables on track.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather information and identify permitting requirements.
• Develop solutions to address anticipated permitting challenges.
• Inform teams about government requirements to support permitting compliance and timelines.
• Serve as SME on local municipal and state codes for permitting.
• Coordinate and track permit applications and compliance through project phases.
• Oversee document control and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
