Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Department of Psychiatry for a 100% virtual role. You will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluating and treating hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.

Candidates must be licensed in Texas and reside in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana or Georgia. Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist licensed to practice in Texas.
• Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired.
• Ability to work in a 100% virtual, four-day, 10-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
• Provide psychiatric care in a fully virtual environment.
• Collaborate with medical colleagues to manage complex medical-psychiatric cases.
