Somethings invites applicants to join as a Mentor helping teens navigate adolescence and access support to thrive. This remote role requires residency in New Jersey and a CPS/NCCPSS license or willingness to obtain certification.

Expect evening sessions Mon-Thu 4:30 PM–10 PM and Fri 4:30–7 PM EST, with a strong emphasis on crisis support, empathy, and growth. Compensation starts at $20/hour with monthly bonuses tied to engagement targets.

Qualifications

• Must reside in New Jersey.
• Must hold CPS license in any state, NCCPSS license, or willingness to complete certification with us.
• Lived experience with mental health challenges and willingness to share your personal story.
• Ability to commit to Mon-Thu 4:30 PM–10 PM EST and Fri 4:30–7 PM EST.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation; comfortable navigating difficult conversations.
• Growth mindset and adaptability to feedback.
• Highly organized and tech-savvy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Enrolled in or completed a 4-year college, 2-year program, or trade school.
• Fluent in English; other languages welcomed.
