To carry out product-line responsibilities of workshop duties to ensure the timely preparation of customer job orders and completion to a high-quality standard of routine workshop activities.

Main Responsibilities
- To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, assemble and test tools/equipment to standards/procedures set out by STATS Inc & STATS customers/clients.
- Work to and maintain a high standard of quality for STATS products and services.
- Work in a safe manner at all times to protect all colleagues, visitors, and clients on site.
- To carry out the movement of material/equipment within the shop area.
- To ensure that all defects to material, components, or equipment are reported to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures, and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
- Aid in the proposal and introduction of new assembly and testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
- To liaise with Workshop Technicians/Supervisor on any issues arising.
- To report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
- To work within STATS standards and company procedures at all times.
- Involved in Environmental, Health & Safety issues.
- Any other duties required by the Workshop Supervisor.
- Liaison with the Workshop Supervisor on any material, customer/project issues.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities
- To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge
- Familiar with pressure equipment/piping and hazards of working on pressurized systems.
- Must have completed and passed the Level 1 and 2 internal technical training.
- Must be able to pass the STATS pre-employment physical tests.
- Must have worked in an industrial/mechanical environment.
- Mechanical aptitude skills and excellent communication skills; able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Must be familiar with hydraulic systems and schematics.
- Knowledge of electromechanical components would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of hydraulic filtration methods.
- Must have knowledge of various hydraulic and test fittings.
Qualifications
- A Level 1 employee shall be able to work independently on activities that the person is qualified to perform.
- A Level 1 employee shall not perform any supervision activities.
