Job summary

Pliant is seeking a remote Support Engineer to own complex technical investigations across our Web Apps and API offerings. You will reproduce issues, analyze logs, validate API workflows, and coordinate with Customer Support, Product, and Engineering to deliver high-quality resolutions.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of deep technical troubleshooting, strong debugging skills, experience with REST APIs, SQL queries, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a role with deep technical troubleshooting and customer-facing investigations.
• Strong debugging and analytical thinking with ability to form hypotheses and test quickly.
• Experience with REST APIs, HTTP, webhooks, OAuth/JWT and idempotency.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or cURL.
• Excellent communication skills bridging technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical cases end-to-end from 1st-Level to resolution.
• Maintain clear SLA ownership and stakeholder updates throughout ticket lifecycle.
• Escalate with complete reproduction steps, logs and a concise hypothesis.
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering on prioritization and context sharing.
• Diagnose issues using logs and debugging frameworks; triage configurations vs. bugs.
