Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support two Scrum teams on a rules engine for health care claims. You’ll translate direction into user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborating with Product Owner and IT.

This role reports to the VP of Product and may work remotely with periodic travel to Tampa, FL. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in health IT, SQL, data modeling, HIPAA knowledge, and experience with Agile/SAFe.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a technical business analyst in health care IT.
• Experience on multiple medium/high complexity projects.
• Able to write SQL queries and understand data concepts.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Familiar with Agile, SAFe, Waterfall and hybrid delivery.
• HIPAA knowledge for security and privacy.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Knowledge of SDLC and data mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Document functional and technical requirements as user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Establish and enforce best practices for documenting requirements, use cases, data flows, and data dictionaries.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and IT teams; communicate clearly with stakeholders.
