Career Legal, a tax-focused CPA firm based in Raleigh, NC, seeks a fully remote Tax Senior to prepare individual and pass-through returns and review basic individual filings. You will work year-round with partners, using UltraTax CS and TaxDome, with a demanding season and flexible offseason schedule.

The position offers full-time, remote work nationwide with a small Raleigh presence, opportunities to expand into bookkeeping and audit during the offseason, and a strong emphasis on work-life

Qualifications

• Valid PTIN or eligibility to obtain one.
• Hands-on experience preparing individual and pass-through entity returns (2+ seasons preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volume during busy season.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet and access to a private, secure workspace.

Responsabilités

• Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040) including Schedules C and E, rental activities, and multistate filings.
• Prepare pass-through entity tax returns for S corporations (Form 1120-S) and partnerships/LLCs (Form 1065) with K-1s.
• Review basic individual returns prepared by others to ensure accuracy.
• Organize client documentation and follow up on missing information via TaxDome.
• Prepare tax extensions and estimated tax payments.
• Respond to routine IRS and state tax notices.
• Assist with tax projections and planning during the offseason.
• Identify potential tax planning opportunities for partners' review.
