Luca IQ is hiring a tax expert to join the product team in a fully remote or Chicago-based role. You will review returns, identify edge cases, and translate tax workflows into product improvements, helping to build tax software you wish you had.

You bring CPA/EA credentials and hands-on tax prep experience with major software, and you will work closely with engineers and founders to align tax knowledge with product outputs.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA status is preferred or considered.
• Experience preparing individual returns with major tax software.
• Experience reviewing returns, not just preparation.
• Strong understanding of US federal individual income tax.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns.
• Identify edge cases and complex scenarios affecting the product.
• Contribute tax knowledge to shaping the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineers to explain tax rules and expected outcomes.
