Job summary

Scott Edwards Architecture, LLP seeks a Sustainability Intern to join our staff for 12 weeks, 10 hours a week, starting January 2027. The role offers flexible scheduling and may be remote.

Ideal candidates are pursuing sustainability or architecture studies with strong Excel, PowerPoint and design software experience. The internship supports project data logging, embodied carbon analysis, and participation in firm activities.

Qualifications

• Must be a legal resident of Oregon.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Revit, Rhino, and ClimateStudio a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documenting projects tracked for the AIA 2030 Commitment and the AIA Materials Pledge, including logging data in the Design Data Exchange (DDx).
• May assist developing embodied carbon analysis and/or whole life carbon analysis for select projects.
• May assist creating graphics and narrative documenting progress toward the 2030 Challenge and AIA Materials Pledge for the Sustainability Action Plan.
• Present major findings to the firm.
• Participate in firm activities including staff meetings, charrettes, and design pin-ups.
