MnDOT is seeking a Survey Technical Lead-CADD to guide transportation survey projects in Rochester. The role focuses on field surveys with RTK GNSS and total stations, and on-office data processing using MicroStation to produce CADD files and mapping outputs.

The position emphasizes leadership in field construction surveys, data quality, and mentoring junior staff within the ADE Program Dlvry / Surveys unit. Strong CAD skills and geodetic knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience with surveys mapping (land/location/construction/geodetic).
• At least 2 years using CAD/graphics software.
• Education substitution allowed: two-year degree or four-year engineering/geomatics degrees may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Working knowledge of English: read, write, speak, and document information.

Responsabilités

• Oversees or performs RTK GNSS surveys and total station data collection.
• Performs survey data processing in MicroStation and creates/merges CADD files.
• Mentors survey employees and leads data processing procedures.
• Organizes land survey data and supports highway alignments and right of way analysis.
• Ensures field and office surveys meet project deliverables and quality standards.
