Job summary

Spring Health is seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist to provide one-on-one support to individuals, leveraging lived experience to motivate recovery and build personalized plans. This fully remote role reports to the Team Lead and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure comprehensive member care.

The role requires certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist and a minimum of 2 years’ peer support experience, with strong communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' peer support experience with SUD.
  • Lived experience with substance use recovery and mental health treatment encouraged.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with Google Office Suite and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals with SUD to motivate recovery.
  • Develop individualized recovery plans with members based on strengths and needs.
  • Collaborate with clinical and support teams for integrated member care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of interactions and progress.
  • Advocate for access to resources and services in the community.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
