CritPt is seeking researchers to work on research‑level physics problems in their subfield. You may create problems, solve them, review completed work, or audit it, with written reasoning required for each assignment.

This is remote, asynchronous work across an 8 to 10 week window, at about 10 hours per week. Competitive pay ranges from $80 to $110 per hour, depending on depth of subdomain match.

Qualifications

• PhD in biophysics, statistical physics, applied mathematics or related field.
• Publications on stochastic growth or reaction-network dynamics.
• Proficient in LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.
• English at B2 or above.

Responsibilities

• Create problems, solve them, and review completed work in your subfield.
• Audit and verify submitted work so that it is reproducible.
• Provide written reasoning for every assignment.
• Collaborate to match areas and assignments with researchers.
