This remote role requires regular presence at the Minnesota state capitol during sessions, travel up to 20%, and a track record in legislative campaigns,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Advanced degree in public health, public policy, law, or related field.
• 5+ years in state government affairs, preferably health/patient advocacy.
• Experience driving legislative campaigns.
• Experience working with volunteers and health coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a comprehensive state advocacy strategy.
• Builds relationships with state/local lawmakers and officials.
• Lobbies lawmakers and drafts policy briefs, testimony, and advocacy materials.
• Monitors proposed legislation and aligns with federal policy goals.
• Tracks legislative activity and maintains accurate records of advocacy efforts.
