Job summary

GitHub is seeking product managers for customer-facing experiences across GitHub and GitHub Copilot surfaces. You will collaborate with engineering and design to define, build, and scale developer-focused products that help developers move faster and accomplish more.

You will own products end-to-end, build prototypes, and iterate quickly based on data and customer feedback. This remote-friendly role emphasizes strategy-to-execution balance, measurable impact, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 6+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field.
• Equivalent experience.
• Experience building and shipping developer-facing products or features.
• Experience scaling products through experimentation and customer-driven learning.
• Experience driving products from 0-to-1 as well as scaling established products.

Responsibilities

• Own products end-to-end, from discovery and strategy through launch and iteration, building experiences that delight developers and drive measurable customer impact.
• Build prototypes, validate concepts, and rapidly iterate based on customer and data-driven feedback.
• Move comfortably between strategy and execution, balancing long-term vision with rapid delivery.
• Define product direction, success metrics, and roadmap priorities.
• Partner closely with engineering to evaluate technical approaches, understand architecture and implementation of tradeoffs, and shape product decisions.
• Use experimentation, customer feedback, telemetry, and product intuition to make decisions.
• Design and execute controlled experiments to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and guide decisions.
• Influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, research, data science, and go-to-market teams.
