Job summary

MLabs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead backend and AI infrastructure for a high-frequency trading platform. You will design and implement runtime engines, deployment systems, and in-house model hosting, moving away from third-party LLM providers.

You will own data pipelines (Redis, Postgres, ClickHouse) and build scalable CI/CD for zero-downtime updates, enabling sovereign infrastructure for autonomous financial software.

Qualifications

• Expert Backend Engineering with Go, Python, and Node.js/TypeScript (Go preferred).
• Startup experience building complex backend services in fast-paced environments.
• Real-time, low-latency systems with websockets and sub-second evaluation.
• Production databases: Postgres, Redis; analytical DBs like ClickHouse/TimescaleDB/BigQuery.
• Orchestration with Kubernetes (AWS EKS); IaC and scalable deployments.
• End-to-end ownership of systems from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of agent runtime and backend services for a high-frequency trading fleet.
• Build a YAML-configurable rules engine interfacing with signal generation and execution.
• Develop and maintain the RatchetStop Backend for sub-second evaluation and live order execution.
