Job summary

Fingerprint is standing up a focused AppSec function led by a Senior Manager, Application Security, and you will be the founding senior engineer turning strategy into a working secure SDLC. You will design, build, and operate security tooling and processes across the engineering org, influencing security outcomes through depth, tooling, and collaboration.

As a hands-on Staff engineer, you will own the technical depth, lead threat modeling and vulnerability management, and mentor engineers while

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and/or security engineering, with 5+ years focused on application security.
• Strong software engineering foundation: production-quality code, modern web architectures, CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep practical AppSec expertise: OWASP Top 10, authn/authz, API security, injection, cryptography misuse.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Fingerprint's secure SDLC: security requirements, threat modeling at design time, secure code review, pre-release security testing within CI/CD.
• Own and operate the security tooling pipeline: SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, container/IaC scanning; SLAs and CI/CD integration.
