Job summary

Pragmatike is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to design and deploy production AI systems at scale. This full-time role is remote in the United States, offering a highly strategic position to influence architecture and engineering standards across multiple teams.

You will lead model serving, inference optimization, and collaboration with product leadership to shape AI strategy while mentoring engineers and evaluating emerging AI technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering or ML experience.
• Deep Python and ML engineering expertise.
• Strong production LLM experience.
• Strong distributed systems and system design skills.
• Experience optimizing inference systems.
• Strong technical leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for production AI systems.
• Design model serving, inference, evaluation, and optimization pipelines.
• Improve model latency, throughput, quality, and cost.
• Lead technical AI initiatives across multiple teams.
• Establish engineering standards for AI development and deployment.
• Mentor AI engineers.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on AI strategy.
• Evaluate emerging models and infrastructure technologies.
