Job summary

EagleView is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to help grow our Geospatial Data Platform. You will build scalable backend services and workflows that power geospatial content processing and delivery across a large-scale workforce.

The role focuses on cloud-based backends, orchestration, and data processing with opportunities to influence architecture. You will collaborate with Product and global Engineering teams, participate in all SDLC phases, and mentor teammates to deliver enterprise-grade

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in Go, Python, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience designing and building backend APIs and workflow-driven systems.
• Experience developing scalable, cloud-based distributed systems.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Experience with common CI/CD methods, tools and Cloud based deployments.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production-grade, enterprise-scale software.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Robust design sense with the ability to interpret and translate business requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. Self-motivated and eager to meet the needs of a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts, architect decisions, and business implications to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for backend capabilities and deploying those features in live production environments.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation, release, and production support.
• Work across the stack—from cloud-based backend services to workflow orchestration and geospatial data processing and storage capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product and global Engineering teams to deliver reliable, enterprise-caliber systems.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs (Go, Python, Javascript) that power end-to-end workflows.
• Design scalable workflow orchestration and processing systems for high-volume production environments.
• Ensure strong test coverage, performance optimization, and reliability across the stack.
• Troubleshoot complex cross-system issues spanning frontend, services, and processing layers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, and observability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote strong engineering craftsmanship.
