Job summary

Optum CPS is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist for a fully remote role across the United States. You will deliver personalized clinical support for specialty medications, conduct MTM calls, and collaborate with providers and pharmacy teams to ensure continuity of care.

With Monday–Friday daytime hours and a flexible remote setup, you will build meaningful patient relationships, review formularies, and stay compliant with state and federal pharmacy laws while contributing to improved patient

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license.
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience in specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, ambulatory care, managed care, or related clinical setting.
• Proven solid patient counseling and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations related to specialty medication therapies.
• Complete Medication Therapy Management (MTM) calls and clinical assessments.
• Review formulary changes and support medication transitions due to insurance or coverage changes.
• Collaborate with patients, prescribers, manufacturers, and pharmacy teams to support continuity of care.
• Document patient interactions, therapy adherence, and medication-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Support quality assurance and patient care improvement initiatives.
