Food & Water Watch in Southeast Iowa is seeking an experienced organizer to lead outreach, helping Iowans register to vote and engage in the election process. We will mobilize volunteers and students to conduct outreach in their communities.

The Iowa Organizer reports to the Political Director and will be funded initially through April 2026, with salary $45,600 to $53,300. Location preference is Scott County; Johnson County candidates considered.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with grassroots organizing, either in a paid or volunteer capacity.
• Campaign experience including voter registration, mobilization, canvass leadership, student organizing, advocacy, and relational organizing.
• Experience training others in grassroots outreach skills.
• Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work remotely using basic online programs (email, Slack, Google docs).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Recruit volunteers and allies for campaigns and develop them into leaders.
• Lead leadership development and organize training for volunteers and groups.
• Develop and implement campaign strategies with team and partners.
• Hone messaging and report on outreach effectiveness.
• Regularly report progress to supervisors.
• Participate in membership recruitment for Food & Water Watch.
• Carry out other projects as assigned.
