Qualifications

• Experience planning and implementing events and public outreach activities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with public communications platforms (social media, email).
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Experience engaging diverse communities in a collaborative manner.
• Passion for southeast Alaska’s lands, waters, and salmon.
• Willingness to travel throughout Southeast Alaska and work evenings/weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Trout Unlimited's community engagement activities in Southeast Alaska.
• Educate and engage anglers and community members in fish habitat conservation.
• Host events and attend community events to build support.
• Grow a volunteer network to advance conservation objectives.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders.
• Support social media content creation and storytelling.
• Collaborate with the Alaska communications director to tell the story.
• Represent TU in line with the organization’s brand and goals.
