Job summary

MongoDB Pre‑Sales Solution Architects guide customers to design and build reliable, scalable systems using our data platform. You will work with sales to solve business problems, design architectures, and drive customer success, from startups to large enterprises, while traveling up to 25% and supporting customers from a remote Germany base.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, including 2 years in a customer-facing role.
• 2+ years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity.
• Experience building scalable, highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises.
• Ability to review complex architecture with customers and provide guidance on improvements through technology.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for senior leadership.
• Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team on end-to-end deal cycles.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Design and Architect scalable and performant applications and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating MongoDB’s business value.
• Partner with the sales team to drive account success through planning, qualification, and pipeline strategies, including technical discovery, demos, and proofs of value.
• Generate demand within the sales territory through self-driven technical initiatives and events.
• Foster strong customer relationships and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay updated on MongoDB products and industry trends.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to master MongoDB product suite.
