American Specialty Health Inc. in Carmel, IN seeks a Software Engineer in Test II to define and own the enterprise-wide automated testing architecture, including framework design, tool selection, coding standards, and long-term scalability for component, integration, and system-level automation testing.

The role drives quality engineering strategy withShift-Left testing, test coverage standards, and AI-assisted testing initiatives, shaping design, sprint planning, and development practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2 years as a software engineer in test or related occupation.
• Experience with unit, white-box, gray-box, black-box, and acceptance testing of web apps.
• Proficiency in .NET (C#), JavaScript frameworks (React), and SQL for automated testing.
• Experience creating/executing API requests and validating JSON/XML responses.
• Design/development/maintenance of test automation frameworks; mocks/stubs; in-memory databases.
• Knowledge of OOP and SOLID.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps and Git.
• Observability using Dynatrace or similar tools.
• Shift-Left testing and cross-functional Agile coordination.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise-wide automated testing architecture.
• Design CI/CD testing processes and Azure DevOps pipeline architecture.
• Lead cross-team system integration and performance testing.
• Mentor teams; establish testing documentation standards and best practices.
• Implement AI-assisted testing initiatives and shift-left practices.
