Job summary

You’ll improve authentication, synchronization, background processing, and error handling, write tests, diagnose production issues, and help us maintain reliable, private health-context software that enables clinicians and patients to understand health data.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining usable software through professional work or substantial projects.
• Strong ability in a relevant language such as Python, TypeScript, or Swift.
• An understanding of APIs, persistence, application state, and software testing.
• The ability to investigate problems across system boundaries and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Careful judgment around privacy, security, and handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve product features across backend services, web interfaces, and app integrations.
• Improve authentication, synchronization, background processing, and error recovery.
• Write tests that cover complete user journeys as well as individual components.
• Diagnose production problems and improve performance, monitoring, and deployment reliability.
• Simplify existing code and document important decisions so the product is easier to maintain.
• Clear API contracts and consistent behavior across connected systems.
