Job summary

Riot Games is offering a Software Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027, fully remote. You will explore both new and current technologies while delivering solutions that scale to millions of players and support live games like League, TFT, and VALORANT.

The role exposes you to backend services, real-time data processing, and SDK/API development, with the goal of matching you to a product and team aligned with your interests and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2028 calendar year.
• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology related degree program.
• Coding experience with an object-oriented programming language (e.g. Java, C++, C#).
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Available to work full-time hours for the 12 week internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other developers to create player-facing features for live games (League, TFT, VALORANT).
• Build back-end services to enable shared social, client and platform features.
• Write code to handle processing real-time data for game teams.
• Learn to operate services on a global scale for millions of players.
• Build and maintain SDKs and APIs used by internal game customers.
