Job summary
General Motors is seeking a software developer to update existing software and build new solutions addressing specific business needs. You will work with senior developers to ensure code aligns with design patterns, and you will develop commercial software using repeatable, industry-standard methodologies.
The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics/EE/CS with several years of experience across UI/Java EE, RESTful services, SQL, and modern web technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with required years of experience.
- Experience with distributed, highly available enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of UI frameworks and RESTful services.
- Proficiency in SQL and query performance tuning.
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git, SVN, ADO).
Responsibilities
- Develop and update software based on detailed requirements.
- Work with senior developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns.
- Create commercial software using standard industry methodologies.
- Write software solutions from system specifications.
- Contribute to all development activities with a repeatable process.
